This isn't very clear; especially the unexplained references to the "thumb print" and the "subject name". Would appreciate some clarification on these.

The link which is "personal information file" only points to the documentation for the utility which is used to create it (but this has no explanation as to what this file is, or is useful for).

FYI, capicom.dll is no longer included in the Windows SDK if that matters to this issue (see the associated "release notes" for the SDK installation).
