A Visit From My Mother
by Raul Gallegos on Thursday, April 19 2007Today will be real nice because my mother is going to be visiting for at least a week. This will make things at home feel a little like Denver because back there, she only lived about a 5 minute drive away, so we got to see each other at least twice a week. The only down side is that when I get home for the next few days, my home will be more and more decorated. This is not mornally bad, except that when my wife and my mother get together, they tend to go overboard. I'll probably have to indure things like flowers on the shower curtain, and girly things here and there throughout the house. Oh well, at least everyone will be happy. I for one will be happy to see my mother, my wife will be happy because she can get interior decorating advice, and the kids will be happy to see grandma. Of course, we can't use the grandma word, the kids call my mother, "mamma Vicky." So you make sure that if you ever call my house and my mother answers, you do the same. That's all for now.
