Survived my first week
by Raul Gallegos on Saturday, March 24 2007I've done it! I've survived my first week at GW Micro. Without posting my resume, let's just say that I do have quite a bit of background in customer service andtechnical support.
In short, the phone calls I took this week were not too much different than answering gw-info emails. It's like the emails from the list were converted to voice calls. As the new guy in the office, I don't think I asked too many questions. At least, I hope I didn't.
I do have a recommendation which should be in the new employee manual though, and it is as follows: Please let all new employees be aware that the bathroom lights automatically turn off after fifteen minutes. This means that sometimes when entering the bathroom, the light switch might be in the 'up' position even though the light is turned off.
Then again, what am I complaining about? I'm totally blind and the light makes no difference to me. I better not write any more suggestions which should be added to the new employee manual because I might be given the task to actually write it up.
All in all, I've enjoyed working here so far.
