NOD32 Rated Fastest Under Vista
by Aaron Smith on Thursday, April 26 2007TechPing recently posted an article, ESET NOD32 Rated Fastest Antivirus on Microsoft Vista, which among other things states that NOD32 is the "fastest antivirus software in comparative testing of 15 antivirus products running on Microsoft Windows Vista Business Edition (32-bit)." We've been impressed with NOD32 from the first day we started using it. Not only has it scored impressively in Virus Bulletin 100% awards, and not only has NOD32 been supported by Microsoft, but it's also one of the most accessible, if not the most accessible, virus scanners around (assuming that the graphical mode is turned off, which can be done during a custom installation). It also has one of the smallest footprints of an anti-virus applications I've had the fortune (or misfortune) of testing. You hardly ever know that it's running, except for the daily reminders that it has updated its virus signatures (and that's a good thing). Congrats, ESET, on an excellent piece of software.
