Massaging and Peeling an Orange For Fun
by Raul Gallegos on Monday, May 4 2009Have you ever wondered how many orange peels you make each time you peel an orange? If you don't think about it too much, you might end up with 10, or maybe close to that amount. Just consider the following. If you massage an orange, you can peel it much easier. In fact, the recent oranges I've peeled during my lunch time have resulted in just 2 peels. Yep, when I'm done, the orange looks as if I cut it in half and gutted it. As I mentioned, all you need to do is massage your orange. If you've ever played baseball or something similar then you know about massaging the ball. This is similar. Just roll around the orange in your hands or across the desk. When you peel it, the peel will come off rather easily and the orange itself will separate quite easily. So now the challenge is to only have 1 peel, (which of course would be very interesting).
