I love the South2007-04-25I love the SouthIt's been a busy month, and Clarence and I are on the road again. This time, we're in Louisville, KY. I love traveling around the U.S., and meeting people from all over the country. But, even though I'm just a Midwestern country boy, my heart has always been in the south. It could be because it's where my family originates from. But, every time I come to the South, I'm quickly reminded of Southern hospitality. Most of the people are smiling, almost all of them are friendly, and they would do anything to help you out. In the Holiday Inn we are staying at, I've never met a friendlier staff. Being down here almost reminds you of the romanticized "good 'ole days" when everyone knew their neighbors, and everyone helped one another. It almost makes me want to move back down here. [Smile.] Comments, Pingbacks:
It is amazing to me--I've heard so much about that old southern hospitality and such that not even being from anywhere near the place I want to go that way. I know nowhere's perfect, but in my mind anyway what matters is if it's perfect for you.
