Today will be real nice because my mother is going to be visiting for at least a week. This will make things at home feel a little like Denver because back there, she only lived about a 5 minute drive away, so we got to see each other at least twice a week. The only down side is that when I get home for the next few days, my home will be more and more decorated. This is not mornally bad, except that when my wife and my mother get together, they tend to go overboard. I'll probably have to indure things like flowers on the shower curtain, and girly things here and there throughout the house. Oh well, at least everyone will be happy. I for one will be happy to see my mother, my wife will be happy because she can get interior decorating advice, and the kids will be happy to see grandma. Of course, we can't use the grandma word, the kids call my mother, "mamma Vicky." So you make sure that if you ever call my house and my mother answers, you do the same. That's all for now.

I feel your pain about the girly stuff. [smile] When my wife and I remodeled our current home, she painted it a real nice light brown. I was quickly informed it was not brown, but a rather flowery color called Crisp Cracker. Somedays, it's good to be color blind. Lol! -

Bill used to always fear whenever his mom redecorated because that usually meant more nicknacks for him to run into, or knock off the wall, or tip over. I remember seeing her house for the first time and thinking what a blind guy's nightmare it must be. I'm fortunate in that my wife and I have the same decorating sense: let's just throw some crap up on the wall, set out a few candles, and go watch a movie. -

Fortunately things have not been too bad. I've only managed to knock down about 3 pictures about 5 times each. That is a low record for me. In actuality, things are turning out real nice. About the only real big piece of hanging we need to put up now is a real heavy mirror which needs at least 3 people to hang and position the thing. Yesterday the wife and mother organized the garage because apparently it needs to look good too. All I did was keep the kids and dog out of the way. Oh, of course I had to help theladies with moving heavy things and placing them in the right place. All in all, the house is coming along nicely.
