It's not pleasant when something blows up when it's not supposed to. Speaking as one whose mobile phone battery recently exploded, I'd far rather cope with that than a dodgy motherboard!

If you are curious, by all means take a look at the damage inflicted in this very room over on this mini site:
    http://www.flamingfatherland.org/nokia/

Unfortunately the descriptions are slightly vague, but it's just there to keep several insurance companies happy.

At least software blow-ups are usually fixable, or in the case of Window-Eyes, unusual and easily reportable.

Wow, your server just blew up like that?
I've been wondering for a while, what would happen to a computer if you set the power supply switch to the wrong voltage and tried to turn it on? LOL! My site will be back up at some point, but it's currently been offline due to the fact that I'm trying to redesign half of the pages, and sinse I only have notepad for the purpose of redesigning the site,... you can probably figure out how annoying that is.
Great blog though, I stumbled on it on accident, I was googleing aroudnd for something about GW Micro and the Voice Sense, and found GWMicro blog. And I was like, "wow!"
I must say that I find your blog quite accessible and find it laughable that your server caught on fire, and ot my stuff. Well I know I shouldn't laugh, but I kind of find that stuff funny just because I've never had that experience, and after your excelent discription I wouldn't want to have that happen.
But since I have no vision, let me ask you this..
Did you here anything happening? Like could you tell "Oh God, my server is acting weird… Oh crap!"
    Regards, --Keith

Thanks for stopping by, Keith. I didn't hear anything, but you'll note from my post that I did smell burning electronics. That was enough indication that something had gone very wrong.
