GWKB1070 : Window-Eyes Does Not Run Automatically After Installation

Product: Window-Eyes
Author: Aaron Smith
Date Added: 04/26/2007

Symptom: After installing Window-Eyes 6.1 with startup options set to load Window-Eyes automatically, Window-Eyes does not launch automatically.

Cause: Registry entries that Window-Eyes requires in order to launch automatically are not available.

Solution: Uninstall Window-Eyes using either the "Uninstall a program" option in the Control Panel, or using the Window-Eyes Emergency Removal utility located in the Advanced Options in the initial Welcome dialog that displays after a Window-Eyes 6.1 CD autoruns. Once Window-Eyes is uninstalled, reboot. Once the reboot is complete, re-install Window-Eyes 6.1. Once Window-Eyes 6.1 is re-installed, the startup options will behave as expected.
