OnKeyProcessedUp repeating speech?Date:
Mon, May 17, 2010 2:33:40 pmHi all,
below follows a snippit of my script which speaks the F/N keys and what they do on my HP pro book laptop. If you hold down the F/N key and press F11 this will turn the master volume down and if you hold down the F/N key and hit F12 this turns the master volume up. The problem I am having with the below routine is that hitting F11 or F12 repeats the speech twice. When pressing F11 or F12 you hear "volume down volume down" or "volume up volume up". How can I stop this?. there is a HP notification window which opens when pressing any of the F/N conbo keys, would this cause this and if so how do I block it.
begin VBScript
Dim keyEvent
Sub FNKeys(vk, km)
Select Case vk
Case 174
Speak "volume down"
Case 175
Speak "volume up"
End Select
End Sub
keyEvent = ConnectEvent (Keyboard, "OnKeyProcessedUp", "FNKeys")
Warm regards.
Martin Webster.
