That behavior already exists, and the information is stored in the
gwtoolkit.ini. It sounds like ini got removed or modified somehow.
Normally, all files associated with an app package are removed when an
app is updated, but that should not affect the ini, as it's not included
in the package.
Make your selection in the update notification dialog, then look in the
gwtoolkit.ini for a section called App_Updates. You'll find an entry
called Expiration, which has a date and time, something like 10/5/2011
8:06:04 am. Verify that entry exists, and then re-install the latest
toolkit, and see if you get prompted again. Then check the ini to make
sure the information is still the same.
Let me know what you find.
