0Captcha utilityDate:
Wed, Feb 24, 2010 11:50:41 amGood news. The 0Captcha utility does seem to be working again now. I've
updated the Web Client package to version 2.3. The hotkey for taking a
screen schot before running the utility has been changed to
Alt-Control-Shift-0 for Windows 7 compatibility (use Hotkey Manager if you
want to change it to something more convenient that does not conflict with
other global hotkeys). The utility has also been enhanced to speak the
solution as well as copy it to the clipboard.
solona.net uses human operators to solve captchas. This means that the
solution is more reliable than an automated approach like WebVism, but it
only works when an operator is available. Down times have been less and
less, however.
I recommend that you turn off browse mode before running the utility, and
put focus in the captcha input box to ensure that it will be visible in
the image that the utility sends to solona.net. To maximize your privacy,
it is best not to fill in any other fields of the web form before you
submit the captcha image.
