i feel sorry for those people using "the fish" as you call it, i myself like using w.e with internet explorer 114 percent better than the fish, msn messenger is easier to use, almost everything works better with my stuff than the fish did, i have heard the latest vertion of it is very broken as far as several aps, and who wants to learn the c or c++ language just to make it work with gthe many programs it won't by default. no, i'd rather stick with windoweyes, infact i have since 1.0 and before that, vocal-eyes 3.0 and earlier, i just don't get paying several times more for something that does not work as well as window-eyes
and the fish doesn't have an lto program either

To say I'm unhappy with the 6.0 release is putting it nicely. And not lets not start on the cost of the upgrade.
And probley won't upgrade until I see more improvements. For one, Skype support isn't what it was cracked up to be. And yeah, a few extra key commands and keyboard layout for the Fish users to mingrate from the Fish to WE was a nice feature.
But, When you release a program that only adds 3 new features and minor changes. And then charge a hefty fee for people that are only one version behind is not worth while to fork out the major doe to get it.
I've been using WE since the 5.0 came out, acturally I started with vocal eye's when I first learn about screen readers. But, from 5.0 to 6.0, there hasn't been much changes to be worth the money. Yeah I see that now it supports almost every office application for business use, but, come on. How about average useage with other programs.
I'm staying with 5.5 till proben other wise that it's worth the upgrade, I just went ahead and renew my SMA on the Fish which to say is cheaper then what GW charges. I get 2 upgrades for 200 bucks. Unlike GW charges 300.
Skype works flawsly with the fish, and everything else. Yeah I amit as well, that there are times that Window eyes works better with some programs. But, when saying that a programs is supported and it's half way not, that's nothing but, hype.
Just my 2 cent, and who know's I might still be willing to fork out the money to get 6.0, but I'm guessing that GW will charge for migration towards Vista.
Matthew.
Window Eyes is solid as a rock, but the fish, keeps jiggleing till it flops.
