Use alt-space r and see if this helps.

Subject: command prompt not reading
Hi,
I have a Dell Dimension 4550 machine that I am using at my work place.
This machine has just recently been reinstalled with Windows XP pro.
Window-Eyes 5.5
512mb of ram
nVidia 64MB GeForce4 MX 420 w/TV Out video adapter
32-bit color, 800x600
When I go to the command prompt, Window-Eyes does not read anything at
all.
I tried maximizing the window, reloading Window-Eyes, change cursor
size, and even rebooting the system several times. Nothing worked. I
double checked to make sure the cprompt.000 set file is loaded.
The thing is, Window-Eyes works beautifully everywhere else except for
the command prompt.
The other screen reader doesn't have any problems with the command
prompt.
If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.
Thanks a bunch.
