GW Micro at CSUNDate:
Tue, Mar 21, 2006 7:48:23 pmThis is our final invitation to stop by our booth at the upcoming CSUN
Conference. The conference is held at the Los Angeles Airport Marriott and
Hilton hotels from March 22 through 25. We will be exhibiting at the
Marriott Hotel in booths 314 and 333.
Please come to our booth so we can demonstrate the latest features of
Window-Eyes 5.5 and show some upcoming new features. We will have a
computer in our booth with Window-Eyes running under Windows Vista. We are
also demonstrating the latest features of the Braille Sense plus some new
innovations, which will be released soon. In addition, we will be unveiling
a brand new product - a product unlike any other at this conference. We
cannot say much about it at this time but rest assured you will be very
pleased. For those that cannot attend the conference, we will send an
announcement about this new product on Wednesday evening of the show.
We have two formal presentations as part of the CSUN conference. The first
presentation is about the Braille Sense and it will be held in the Boston
Room of the Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, March 22 from 12:00 to 12:30. This
presentation introduces the Braille Sense and focuses on the ease of use,
the multi-media capabilities plus the latest features.
The second presentation is called - What's New with Window-Eyes, - and it is
in the Denver room of the Marriott hotel on Saturday, March 25 from 8:00 to
9:00. This presentation will focus on the latest features of Window-Eyes
such as the mobile install, DHTML applications running within Firefox, Excel
support and more. In addition, we will show off some of the new features
that will be coming out in the next release.
Not only are we offering our own formal presentations, but Doug Geoffray
will be co-presenting with Microsoft on, "Preview of Microsoft Office 12;
New User Interface and Keyboard Accessibility." This presentation is
Thursday from 10:40-11:40 in the Catalina D room of the Hilton.
In addition to the official presentations, GW Micro will again be offering
special private sessions in our hospitality suite number 1718 at the
Marriott. Some of these sessions are full so please stop by the booth or
email sales@gwmicro.com if you wish to attend. Please look over the
schedule below and choose any of the events you want to attend. Then let us
know your preference, and we will put you on the guest list.
This is the schedule for both Thursday and Friday. When you sign up please
indicate your preferred day.
9:00 New Features of Window-Eyes - This session will focus on the numerous
and powerful features of Window-Eyes version 5.5. We will also spend some
time on the upcoming, new features, which will be in version 6.0 of
Window-Eyes.
10:30 Braille Sense Overview - This session will focus on all the features
of the Braille Sense and it will be mostly geared toward the user of the
product. Some of the special features of the Braille Sense make it of
interest to those that are both deaf and blind so we will discuss those as
well.
12:00 Switching from JAWS to Window-Eyes - This session will be of interest
to anyone that currently uses JFW but they are considering switching to
Window-Eyes. In addition, any trainer or evaluator will appreciate this
session if they know common JFW keystrokes but they have not yet learned the
equivalent Window-Eyes keys. We are confident you will quickly determine
that even though you will be pressing the same keystrokes, you will often
get more information with Window-Eyes.
1:30 How sighted people can use and train others to use the Braille Sense -
Many times a sighted person must help someone that is blind learn to use a
Braille notetaker. The sighted person may be a teacher, parent, co-worker
or a friend. The special features of the Braille Sense make it the ideal
product for this situation. The session will highlight those features and
offer tips and suggestions that will make your job easier.
3:00 Surprise session - Since it is a surprise, we really cannot say much.
GW Micro will unveil a new product at the CSUN conference and this session
will give you an up-close personal view of this new product. We are very
pleased to be able to offer this and you will not be disappointed if you
sign up for this session.
4:30 We See TV - GW Micro supports We See TV, the company that provides
video description services to industry, television and movies. If you do
not know what this is about - just think of those silent parts of a program
where action is taking place but there is no dialog. How you know what is
going on? That is where We See TV comes into the picture. Come to this
entertaining session to learn how the process includes blind professionals
and participate in a real description for broadcast!
Again, to sign up for the private sessions, please stop by our booth 314/333
or send an email to sales@gwmicro.com with the time and day of the session
you want to attend.
We hope you will stop by and see us at CSUN!
