Hi, folks:
Although I have never had sight, I enjoy taking pictures and showing them
on my computer and printing them for greeting cards. A friend gave me a HP
PhotoSmart 215 digital camera a couple of days ago, but the software was
totally inaccessible. I got around the problem by buying a card reader
from a local store. Since I am running Windows XP, I did not need to
install the card reader's software. I connected this device to a USB port,
and it behaved like another disk drive. My camera has a flash memory card
which can be removed and inserted into the card reader. That way I can
delete pictures I do not want, rename the ones that I want, and copy them
to my computer. Then I can delete the pictures from my memory card, and I
am ready to go again. By the way, I take pictures by pointing the camera
toward a person's voice. Sometimes that person can bell me if I have the
camera pointed too high, too low, etc., Then I click the shutter, and
wow! I'm taking pictures.
Have fun with cameras if you like.
Laura
