Hello Tracy and all,
I don't know anything about adobe audition, but maybe I can help a little about your questions regarding cakewalk software.
Cakewalk's musical production software is called sonar. It exists in two versions, the studio edition, and the producer edition which is the one that I know.
It is definitely a high end standard for professional musicians who use PCs. And as a matter of fact, it might well be the highest since logic audio and ProTools don't exist for PCs anymore.
You are not limited to a given number of tracks in sonar, as you can create as many midi or audio tracks in a project.
I'm new to window eyes and all I know about sonar's accessibility is that some scripts have been written for jaws which are very good but I also know that window eyes claims to support sonar versions 4 and 5.
You might also like to consider another software called Cubase that has a good reputation. I don't know much about it myself but a friend of mine uses it with window eyes and happily. Regards,
Jean-Philippe Rykiel

Hello.
Several days ago I downloaded the latest version of a program called Adobe Audition and after working with it a few days gave up because I found the program unaccessable.
In the program was a practice set of tracts where a person could learn how to incert wav files into the track list.
The left sid of the screen was a list of the wav files and if you could move the mouse cursor in Window Eyes to the proper place in the screen, you could click the screen and arrow up and down the wav file list and then rout the mouse cursor to the name of the file to highlight it.
This was on the first one third of the screen.
I don't remember the cordinates but if you could get the mouse cursor to a nother part of the screen and click, you could read a list of tracks along with detecting some controles that Window Eyes did not know how to deal with.
When you tabbed through the controles beside each track window eyes says custome controle.
From what I was able to figure out the controles were for stop and play and to set up a track for recording and there was a volume up and down control.
One more thing.
In this list the parcial list of tracks showed up there.
On the last side of the screen was a list of the tracks that you could scrole up and down to make the tracks and there controles appear in the list in the middle part of the screen.
This list on the righrt was the most difficult part.
You had to use the mouse pointer to scrole up and down.
Does the window eyes program have set files that makes this multitrack software any more usable and accessable?
I must confes that I am a little concerned at the lack of access we have to multitrack recording software especially the comurcial ones that are used in high profile studios and that have popularity with the music industry.
I have been told that Protools is not accessable and now it looks like the Adobe access program is going backwards as far as being accessable and I wonder where it will end up.
If there are any set files for Adobe Audition I would like to know where to download them.
This looks like a wonderful program to use if it was just accessable.
Some one said that the Cakewalk software works well with Window Eyes.
Is this a good software package and how many voice tracks does it support and how many midi tracks does it have?
Hope someone can help.
Tracy Son.
