The hot key issue is interesting. It seems that Hims wrongly described the function keys as advance buttons, and GW coded this information into Window-eyes. This problem relates to the Braille Sense bt and the Edge.
I have no experience with the Braille Sense qwerty.
I agree with you regarding contracted braille input and back translation: GW has had that little beef from me for several years now.

I'm using the BrailleEdge and I notice that I get a ding every time the display scrolls to a new print line.
What I would like to see is the ability to write in contracted grade 2 braille and have the braille automatically translate back to text.

Who makes up the hot keys--HIMS or Gw Micro? Also, the keys are misnamed. They are called Advance keys but their true name is function. f9 f10 f11 and f12 keys. For some unknown reason, I couldn't add a hot key for f2 because the key wasn't recognized.
