I hope I'm not the only Xcel Energy customer in Window-Eyes land <smile>!!
About 20 minutes ago, I was on the Xcel Energy website trying to set up
eBilling and put an end to the receipt of paper bills.
The controls were barely accessible. When in an Edit box I tried to delete
something I had written, Window-Eyes kept beeping at me. Using the
backspace, none of the characters deleted were echoed back. I did hear the
usual ding, ding, ding sound!
In the Security Questions section, I was unable to read any of the Security
Questions and, as such, I was unable to type in the answers to the security
questions.
I called Xcel Energy, and they told me to "LOOK FOR" a drop box, but
Window-Eyes found none.
I therefore believe that the website was poorly coded or perhaps it's all
Java Script?
My question is: Has anyone on the list who gets electricity and Gas from
Xcel Energy succeeded in setting up an eBill account on the Xcel Energy
website? If yes, how were you able to accomplish this task using
Window-Eyes?
