Thanks Gary,
Very odd. Both in IE 10 and FF 23, I get only the results coauthored between the two authors and cannot delete one of the names. With David Eddings, I get only the two books written with his wife Leigh Eddings While the other sixteen books I own by him alone will not show up in the table. When searching Elizabeth moon, I get the one book in my library she co-wrote with Anne McCaffrey while the other 12 books by her alone are not displayed. I have no problem searching out authors who only wrote solo, at least on books in my library, but anything more complex than that and I get nothing but frustration.
I also cannot search by series names, even when those series names exist in the title. Back to Eddings, the first 5 books by him are all part of a series called the Belgariad, and the listing for the books in my library include the book title and then ‘The Belgariad Book X’, consistent through all 5 books. I tried searching for Belgariad in the keywords box and get no results. A book will only appear if I search for the title or the first few words in a title in order. For example I can search Pawn of Prophecy and get that book, but cannot just search Prophecy and get the book to appear.
This is with both Window Eyes 8.2 and with the latest build of NVDA that Ninite will update one to.
Very odd indeed.
Thanks,
Chris

Chris,
I'm not having any problems searching my Audible Library. I'm unable to test with Window-Eyes at present, but I used both JAWS and NVDA with Internet Explorer 10 and got the expected results when searching for 2 different authors. In each case, all of the books by these authors in my library were displayed in a table, and I had no difficulty moving through the table.

I never got any replies on this topic, but I am pretty certain it is a site problem or a browser problem as I had the same problem when trying searching my library with NVDA. Since the issue occurs with both the latest IE and the Latest Firefox, I lean towards it being a site issue. It seems that the site insists on giving suggestions and then sticks with only the first suggestion to pop up rather than allowing the user to move through a list of them. It is truly frustrating when one is trying to find 10 or 12 titles in a library of over 400 books.
I plan on redownloading my entire library since they now offer all titles in a single section, instead of the old method of dividing the books up to make for shorter downloads. I really prefer this format, and I suppose I could just start downloading all of the titles I need to redownload from the beginning of my library, but I would prefer to do it by author, thus getting to books I wish to relisten to quicker than those not so high on my relisten list.
I sent an email to their customer service about this issue, so hopefully they will address it as they redesign pages. I would encourage anyone interested in changes to their site to send in requests. They seem open to suggestion, though I don’t know how fast they might be implementing changes. Personally, I also wish that they would allow some customization, I would love to get rid of the links for rating books, especially since they don’t disappear if one uses them to rate a book. The library section could be so much simpler and easier to use. Anyway, now I am off the original issue and just thinking aloud so to speak.

Chris

I sent an email to their customer service about this
issue, so hopefully they will address it as they redesign pages. I would
encourage anyone interested in changes to their site to send in requests. They
seem open to suggestion, though I don’t know how fast they might be
implementing changes. Personally, I also wish that they would allow some
customization, I would love to get rid of the links for rating books,
especially since they don’t disappear if one uses them to rate a book. The
library section could be so much simpler and easier to use. Anyway, now I am
off the original issue and just thinking aloud so to speak.

What happens is that if I am looking for books by a
particular author that also has collaborations that I have in my library,
only the collaborations show up. For example, searching for Elizabeth Moon,
I find that Anne McCaffery has been added to the keywords despite the fact
that I did not type her name in and only the one book by both authors will
display while the twelve books I own written by just Moon will not display.
I can delete the second name as many times as I like and Audible’s search
will insist on putting it right back in there. I am trying to find a number
of books in a large library and this is just getting really frustrating.
sure, there are other ways to find the books, but they all require hunting
the books out in a much more time and effort intensive means than just
searching. If anyone knows how to get past this issue, I would love to know
the method. Oh, if it makes a difference, my OS is Windows 7
64-bit.
