mouse -- we pioneered this technology in Window-Eyes. When Microsoft
changed the way they drew text on the screen in IE9, it caused
Window-Eyes mouse navigation to stop working. During the process of
researching and developing new ways to make Window-Eyes work better on
the web, given our resources, we had to decide what was more important:
making access to information more accurate via Browse Mode, or
concentrate on enhancing mouse navigation.
The fact of the matter is, despite the usefulness of mouse navigation,
more users rely on getting accurate information through browse mode, so
that's what we concentrated on. We never indicated that we didn't care
about mouse navigation, nor did we ever indicate that we would never
provide a solution. In fact, we have discussed various way to make this
work, and plan on doing so in a future version.
I caution taking disgruntled opinions as fact. Use this, instead: we are
aware of the issue, we recognize the importance of this feature, and we
are working to provide a solution as Window-Eyes continues to evolve.
