More IE9 issues and WE BetaDate:
Tue, Nov 6, 2012 6:53:20 amI was trying to book airline tickets through the following site.
http://booking.budgetair.co.uk/cheap-flights/airlines/easyjet.html/?ecmp=KNC-UK-Airlines&gclid=COSB8rmhurMCFSnJtAod0jwA3g
I've just realised that this isn't actually the main Easyjet site,
however on this site I was unable to input the date that I wanted to
travel. The relevant edit boxes are being reported by WE as being "read
only edit box" and each time I backspace in one of these, I'm taken back
to a previous page, as if Browse mode is still on. I don't know if this
is a WE Beta issue or a problem with the site. Using the easyjet.com
site I was able to book my tickets successfully.
Another thing I've noticed is that on some combo boxes I've noticed WE
say closed.
An example of this is on the passenger combo box on the page above. What
does that mean?
Finally, for the moment, GWMicro have decided that if a page contains an
edit box, as soon as the page is loaded WE will place you in that box.
My home page is google.co.uk, each time I go there I am now placed in
the edit box. When I did my shopping yesterday and went to the login
screen for Tesco, I was automatically placed in the email field. Is
there a setting somewhere, or can a setting be added to either accept
this behaviour or change it to browse mode being loaded?
Sorry one more thing. I was using my bank's site to make a payment
yesterday. With the previous version of WE after selecting the person to
pay and when the page containing the various edit boxes loaded, I would
be placed at the point on that page where I could simply cursor down to
the relevant edit boxes. With the Beta I am being placed at the top of
the page.
I hope all that makes sense.
Yusuf
