I don't know who's telling this person that 6 gigs of memory are required
to run a screen reader with windows 7 as this is total nonsense! I run
jaws, window eyes, system access and NVDA here with windows 7 on a 4 gig
machine and know for a fact it runs decent on even a 2 gig machine.
I'm running windows 8 here on same machine and it's actually less resource
consuming and faster than windows 7 is and that's saying something
considering that windows 7 runs very well on that machine. Don't be so
worried about change. If Windows 7 makes you happy then by all means stick
with it.

Let's just say Windows 7 and Windows 8 require the same amount of
memory. Let's also say that PC manufacturers usually shelve previous
operating systems shortly after the new one is released. This is how
technology works I am afraid. Either deal with it or stick with what you
have right now.
