RE: Windows Mobile Device CenterDate:
Fri, Nov 25, 2011 3:46:30 pmHi Steve,
Are you using a laptop?
I am, and using vista, and I'm afraid it's much worse with a laptop. it
seems a lot of the functions assigned to the buttons of my mobility center,
invoke a utility supplied by Dell (called QuickSet), which must be specific
to this laptop. Unfortunately, I get absolutely no speech of anything from
this utility, and it is started whenever I activate almost any of the
windows controls in the mobility center.
I think this is written in Java, and while I do have the WE4Java app
running, it is not helping at all.
I can only hope that WE version 8, when it deals with browsing the web, will
also do something to deal with java better than this.

Subject: Windows Mobile Device Center
Hi,
Does anyone have experience with Windows Mobile Device Center under Windows
7 with Window-Eyes? I seem to be able to navigate the screens with the
mouse pointer more or less, but it does seem that tabbing around also works
but I seem unable to get speech response to most controls. I have
experimented with reclassing buttons but without much success. Perhaps
there is nothing to be done but to use the mouse keys, but I thought I would
check in case there is something obvious I am missing.
Best regards,
Steve Jacobson
