Re: Window-Eyes Error ReportingDate:
Fri, May 6, 2011 11:59:55 amHello to Peggy, David, and the rest of the list,
This happens to me with a surprisingly high frequency and in the same manner as described by both David and Peggy. I thought this phenomenon would vanish with the installation of window-eyes 7.5 from my previously installed Window-eyes 7.2, but that appears to have been wishful thinking.
I might also note this installation of 7.5 was a clean install.
Since the errors invariably occur only when window_eyes Is first started amd I am most often not given the response that GwMicro has received the error report, what good is sending the error report?

This happens all the time here, and that is even under 7.2. Lets say, once out of every 20 times, you get the confirmation the report has gone through.. Not sure why. Yet, if it more or less never shows up, why ever bother making a confirmation screen. :)

Hi, guys. I’ve noticed that since version 7.5, sometimes WE will come up and want to report an error, even though, as far as I could tell, everything worked fine and there were no problems. And then when I send the error report, I can’t tell when it has actually been sent, because it never says “thank you for sending”, etc., and I get no results when I move around with the mouse keys to try to find the status. Has anyone else experienced these things with the error reporting? I like to report errors, but I like to know when they’ve been reported so I know that I can close the window. As it is, I give it a few minutes then close the window, but maybe none of my supposed errors have been reported. Thoughts?
Peggy
