Thu, Jul 30, 2009 11:52:26 amIt really depends on what your going to use the card for.
5.1 or 7.1 surround and high end listening audio is different than
studio grade recording cards, which is different again than simple
stereo in and out or mic in and out for chatrooms and generic stuff.
No need to buy an expensive card if all your going to do is run
window-eyes through it.
These little 20 dollar usb cards would be fine for this.
YOu must ask yourself what your need is then match accordingly.

Those you seen on ebay are just those simple ones. Despite they claim on
the box which its 5.1, but if you compared to with other branded company,
like Creative, Turtlebeach and many more, they are far from being 5.1
If you can afford it, go for the Creative 5.1 or higher external via USB.

Subject: sound card adapters
Hi,
I was thinking of obtaining an external usb sound card for my WXPH system so
WE could use it rather than the onboard sound.
Ebay has numerous sound card adapters listed for only a few dollars and was
wondering if anyone knew what a sound card adapter is? That is, is the
adapter much different from a normal sound card?
Also, as you get what you pay for, how good are they?
Thanks
Neville.
