tried doing all of this and they still repeat.
no dice
ok it is the skype script doing this it seems.
turned off scripting ok double menus went away. turned scripting on again. ok menus speak twice again.
well in my case it seems only msaa based menus are read twice so what script changes what Msaa does. the skype scripts. stopped the skype script and double speaking of menus were gone again.

Well robby I get this one all the time. Once I start window-eyes menus
start to double speak. Not all menus do it either. like explorer menus
do
it. but skype menus don't for example.
If anyone knows of a way to solve this I would be oh so happy.

Subject: Menu Items Repeating Twice
Hello all,
I just wanted to report that, after having window-Eyes run for a while,
when navigating through menus (I.E. start menu, menu bars, etc) items
are spoken twice. This also makes navigation more sluggish as speed
cannot be maintained while arrowing due to lags in the speech. For some
reason, I tend to think that using forms mode a lot activates this
behavior; I notice this often while navigating combo boxes on web pages.
Restarting window-eyes does not remedy the problem; I logged off of my
user and logged back in to fix the problem. I am running Window-eyes
7.01.
Thanks,
Robby
