Hi Bill,
I have had Magic Jack and like it but can't find where to change the output volume control. I saw your message but can't find where to go to raise the output volume I am using Windows XP service pack 3 and of course Window Eyes 7.01.

Subject: Jacking up the Magicjack output volume
Hello list,
Firstly, I want to thank Curtis Delzer for helping me solve the problem described below. His solution does indeed get around the inaccessibility of the Magicjack menu sliders. It took me a while to get around to implementing it; but my experiences in both talking to people through Majicjack and trying to hear very quiet Magicjack callers on the other end have urged me to clarify his message.
The Magicjack's handset volume is generally ok. It's the output volume that needs to be adjusted. The easiest way to do that is to go to your control panel and choose "Sounds and Audio Devices". Unless you want to adjust Magicjack volume on your end, tab past the playback device and its corresponding volume setting button. You will reach a device selection combo box, which you will temporarily want to change to "USB Internet Phone by Tigerjet" so as not to change your sound card recording level. Choosing the volume control button should take you to the wave in dialog. Unless you have a very good mike in your phone, you will want to simply press the home key to max the volume and Alt-F4 out of that box. You should land back in the Audio Settings box. Don't forget to change your default audio device back to what it was previously.
I hope people find this helpful.
Bill

use standard volume control, and select theUSB Internet Phone by TigerJet device. You will find the volume you wish there.
