 avg free question

hello listers, just wondering if anyone has had any luck using AVG free.
I tried using it but found that some of the sections of the interface
were not very accessible.
It appeared that the cursor would get stuck in some places and wouldn't
move until I moved the mouse pointer to another section and clicked
which would take me from where I wanted to be.
right now I'm using Avast but don't care for it as much.
