Window-Eyes does not currently have place marker capabilities. We have
this new feature set for version 7 and it will allow you to use place
markers, even if the web page changes slightly.

I cannot answer your other question about reading a link vs a graphic.
Typically if Window-Eyes tells you something is something.gif, it's
because the web author didn't put an alternate link name for the
particular one. You can press insert-e to hear the element properties of
a link or button and get more information.

Petro T. Giannakopoulos said the following on 5/1/2008 6:04 AM:
Using Internet Explorer 7. Why does Window-Eyes 6.1 handle html code differently than JAWS 9? For example JAWS reads a link as 'Add' while Window-Eyes will read this same link as "program/image/add....gif'

Is there a solution to this? Does Window-Eyes use place markers for web pages. If so how do I place a place marker using Window-Eyes?

Thank you.
