do this, but I know that in Word 2007 the status line is configurable.
From the document I think you press F6 to move to the status line, and
then press the Applications key or Shift + F10 to get a context menu
with a whole lot of options that can be checked if you want them on

status line.

Hi folks,
I sent this question a few days ago, but I don't know if it
reached the list because I am not getting copies of my messages.
In any event, in Word 2003, one could use the control, insert and
s key combination to hear the document status, such as page number,
line number and column number. I've noticed in Word 2007 that this
combination does not provide the same information. Is there a way to
determine line and column information in a document now? I looked
around, but could not find any obvious settings.
