WE6.1 Cannot Do Much Upon Boot-upDate:

I have another thought about your problem. Every time I get a new computer,
I spend a couple of hours cleaning out the demo crap that is loaded by
default by the manufacturer. After all of the garbage is gone, I have a
snappy new computer. I used to build my own computers, but about 6 years
ago it was no longer cost effective to do that, so I began buying prebuilt
ones and cleaning them up when I got them home.

Subject: WE6.1 Cannot Do Much Upon Boot-up
Well, this one is a strange problem and hopefully someone can get a
handleon it and offer some suggested solutions.
Last week, I installed, from the CD, we6.0 on a New XP system and thenupdated it to 6.1.
Now, this happens more often than not, but not always, when the pc bootsup, WE does it thing except when I hit keys such as in the start menu, it
will not take me to programs, IE Favorites, and the like.It is as if the program has no focus or something.
The resolution, however, is weird; I go into WE's control pannel, exitWE, and welaunch with the hotkey.
Then, all is fine.Other than the nusiance of doing this, I guess this in and of itself
wouldbe a permanent solution,.
However, what has me curious is why would WE come up unfocused, and thenshutting it down and restarting, solve things?
And, more importantly, what's the fix (if that's what one wants to callit) so one needn't go through the extra steps?
Mike
