Sounds like the drivers included with WIndows may be outdated, too.

I would think that they would have to install the device drivers that
support the included hardware. Actually, Windows includes drivers for
many types of devices, including scanners, cameras, printers, etc.

I've read that Dell just started offering a line of computers with
nothing on them but Windows. I don't remember more details about
this.
