W-E6.1 doesn't label any graphics for me. the screen is telling me to
select a scan mode, but I don't see any means of doing that. Obviously
you do, which is interesting. I've tried altering the color settings
and screen resolution, but everything stays the same. This is under
Windows2000 by the way. I'm quite happy to try the physical mouse stuff
but, at the moment, I have no point of reference.

OK, folks. Here's the deal with that scan button. Wineyes, when moving
by clip, skips right over it. Most of the other important icons too. If you're
feeling brave, you can figure out where it is in relation to one of the
random graphics WE picks up and move your physical mouse from that
landmark, so to speak, and physically click the button. For example,
after you select your scan type, if you go to the bottom right of the active
window, move two clips to the left, and then nudge the physical mouse
up about a half inch, you'll be on the scan button. My finding is that
clickable entities in the application are relatively spread out, so there's a
minimal chance of clicking the wrong thing so long as you're careful
about it. If anyone wants to do this, I've written up an index of where the
important buttons are in relation to graphics WE picks up, which I will
send to any interested parties who write me offlist asking for it. I don't
recall what the standing rule is about attaching files to messages that go
to GW Info, so I won't presume that it is acceptable.
Your other solutions are:
1. Use AdAware SE until Lavasoft gets their act together with 2007 or
some other new development occurs. Updated definition files are still
coming out for SE, since Vista users can't install 2007 yet anyway.
2. Acquire yourself a copy of AdAware 2007 pro, which allows you to
control the application through a command line.
I would, of course, encourage everyone to drop Lavasoft a note and
remind them that screen reader users get spyware too. *grin* It is
accessible if you're willing to use the physical mouse and get real
creative with it. Short of that, I'm hitting a brick wall on this one, contrary
to what I'd first thought. It looked similar to SE in many respects until I
realized that you couldn't label the scan button and similar buttons.
Trying to do so just brings up the other dictionary editing options.

As well, I see no button. The "question" is the only thing that's on the
screen. And if I remove myself from that screen by closing that window, Idon't see any button I can click on anywhere. I also attempted to label
thegraphics.

Hi Rick
I hear no reference to a button, and when I tab, I only hear "custom
control", and each new control seems to change the information on thescreen. It's like we're using different programs. Any ideas? A passing
pair of eyes told me that the "question" referred to by the other posteris
a yes or no to an update; but the buttons for answering this question aresimilarly invisible to me.

Subject: Ad Aware 2007 Free Edition
Hi Folks
I have just installed Ad Aware 2007 free edition and find it more or
less impossible to use.
On first entry I just hear the word question.
If I hit the escape key a couple of times and use the tab key I cancycle between the various pages. However, I can't seem to be able to
select a particular item such as full scan and so on.
I am using Window-Eyes 6.1.
Any assistance greatfully welcome.
