Dear Richard and List,

I use other programs instead of Word such as Jarte, PowerEdit and DBT,
(Duxbury Braille Translator).

I'm also thinking place markers might be useful in all programs and file
types.

If you're using MS Word, there is the Work bookmark feature on the Insert
menu. Moving around Word documents is clunky. Another option: if the

document uses headings, you can use the Go To command to move from heading
to heading. After you've done this once, you can move to other headings

using
Control-Page Down and Control-Page Up. Not wonderful, but it helps some.

Finally, if you're moving around a document, you can return to the last
location by pressing Shift-F5.
