Dear Adrien,

I'm not sure what you are referring to, but most of the discussion here is
about GWConnect, not Skype. Your message to which I'm replying does not
refer to something specific.

Please clarify.

Cheers,

Rod :)

Hi

Is that in skype itself or gwconnect?

Yeah that did help sir. Thanks so much.

Now if GW micro could put a button int hat same dialog that
would let you delete the contents of that log that would be
nice.

Because then you don't have to wade through all the other
junk to get to your recent calls if you have more than one
call you missed.

Just a suggestion.

Oh and another thing I been a thinkin' about.

What if, during a call, if you wanted to say, change your in
put or output soundcards, then you could say hit shift ctrl
I for input and then shift ctrl O for the houtput
switching, and in a call you could use shift ctrl alt O for
conversations if you have more than one open.

What do you think about this?

It would save from having to load one more piece of software
like the virtual aucio cable, to do such a task.

Also it would be nice for those who have cordless or
Bluetooth headsets.

I frequently have trouble with mine, it likes to mess up and
go dead right in the middle of calls sometimes.

It's mostly because of my earpiece not paring right. But
still when this happens changing the two devices on the fly
would be nice as well as when I'm wanting to put people on
hold, and letting them hear my station's output while
they're on hold. Just suggestions though but I wish they
could be put in the next releace of gw connect if possible
but I bet that will take time probably.

Later

Jerry mader

Dear Jerry,

On the Skype menu, there is an option called Recent Events
(Ctrl-R), which seems like it might work for you, but I
don't know for sure, since I don't use Skype much. Smile

Good luck,

Rod Smile

Thanks Rod.

Hey do you know of a way to look at missed calls if Say,
skype isn't signed in and then you come home and say wanna
check the call log?

Is there a way for this ever to be incorporated in gw
connect?

Thanks so much.

Hi, Jerry! :)

In response to your message about telephony software which
plays a message of your choosing, I thought I would mention
one which looks interesting, although it does not advertize
as "free." Interestingly enough, I downloaded and installed
this company's voip software a while ago, and, after the
demo period expired, there was an option to convert the
program to a free version, and I am still using it after
more than six months. Here's hoping it works for you, too.
Here's the URL for the "on-hold" software which this company
makes:

http://www.nch.com.au/ims/index.html

Really, please look at their products page for a whole lot
of cool software they make.

In terms of accessibility, I am able to use the voip
software pretty effortlessly, although I do have to use the
mouse sometimes. I'm using ExpressTalk, the company's voip
software for a voip service I had to subscribe to because,
in Canada, where I live, Skype does not allow us to obtain
our own phone number for people to call us on. Anyway, I
like this company, based in Australia, because, if you check
out their website, they really seem to be on the ball. If
nothing else, I send this to you for your info. Smile

All the best,

Rod :)

You see what I was gonna do was to use gw connect for my
request line for my radio station, but I wanted a way to:
let them listen to the station while they're on hold, with
out having to keep messing about with the output devices tab
and such, or using a mixer which I can't afford to get right
now.

And the missed calls list would be nice for really any
occasion when you miss a call it'd be nice to be able to see
who did call and be able to call them back. Just two quick
suggestions off hand that I could think of off the top of my
head that would be really nifty to have.

Thanks

Hello there folks.

I was wondering.

Is there any way that GW connect can show a history of
missed calls witht eh option to call them back?

This would be quite helpful to me. Also something else I was
thinking.

Is there a way for GW connecto, when you place a person on
hold, switch to another soundcard's output temporarily for
use with music on hold players?

If not, can these things be implemented?

Thanks allot.
