New momber here!Date:
Thu, Jul 26, 2012 4:21:19 pmHi everybody! I'm new here, although some of you may remember me from the old GW-NOTETAKERS list.
I am completely deaf-blind with a cochlear Implant. I have used nothing but HIMS Braille Sense notetakers for the 5 years that I have been DB. I am now ready to venture into , what is for me, the confusing world of a real computer with braille display and Screen reader. I have chosen Window-eyes as my screen reader, which is why I am here. I would like to get a HIMS Braille Edge for my braille display, maybe using my currently owned Braille Sense U2 first, for the braille display. I will have some very basic questions, most which are probably common sense, but I feel overwhelmed because I know nothing about screen readers and the idea confuses me, so I hope people here will be nice to me. SMILE
I don't have my laptop yet, but I have a few questions just reading about Window-eyes and braille displays. But I will send another email with those. I just wanted to introduce myself and warn you that a newbie who is totally ignorant when it comes to screen readers is in your midsts and will be asking "stupid" questions about Window-eyes and certain braille displays. <smile>
