Sat, May 26, 2012 12:56:28 amHi,
How much of the history are you asking gw connect to load in your history log for each chat? If you have a rather large history for a contact gw connect might stop responding or take a long time to display the chat window. So try checking this in options and setting it to something smaller.
Btw very happy with gw connect. It will finely replace skype on my box here.

Subject: GWConnect - a few issues
Hello all,
I have a problem with GWConnect. I can't open a chat window for an online contact. I've set Enter to open a chat window, I focus on the contact in question (online) and press Enter - nothing happens. I press
Control+T to invoke the contact's chat window - still nothing happens. I
don't want Enter to call the selected contact, so I've experimentally set it to do nothing and pressed Control+T - still no chat window appearing. I can call the contact in question just fine, but from the main window. Invoking the chat window for an ofline contact works just fine. Sometimes, if I press Enter on an online contact, not only does not the chat window appear, but GWConnect freezes and I have to forceably terminate it. If by any chance the chat window appears without GWConnect freezing, the minute I start chatting or calling the contact in question, GWConnect freezes again and I have to forceably terminate it. I'm using NVDA as my screen reader, but I can reproduce it even without a screen reader running. Actually, now I've noticed that it does not apply to all online contacts, but it applies to some ofline contacts as well. What's going on?
I'm using GWConnect 2.0, but this started happening around v1.03 or 1.04. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32-bit with all updates. My regional and language settings in the Control Panel are set to "bulgarian".
Thanks in advance!
