We have cleaned up some potential hangs when GWSkype tries to obtain
event data from the Skype runtime. Would you mind sending me your
%appdata%gwskypegwskyp.log file?

Robert,
This is on our wish list and will be coming in a future version of
GWSkype. Please also send me your %appdata%gwskypegwskype.log so I can
investigate your hang when joining the conference.
