Hi
I've downloaded the latest version now, and so far I have had no of the earlier error messages coming up. Thank you for all the time put into this. I am enjoying this app.

Subject: beta 13 of Remind Me Where
Hi all,
This is a little sooner than I would like to release another beta, but some users not in the united states have had some difficulties with getting directions in their country, so this version attempts to better internationalize the directions portion of this app.
It now allows you to specify a country as part of your default location, and it allows you to specify a country in the address (to/from) of the get directions dialog. It also makes an attempt to provide default values for the city, state, and country in all of these dialogs, by use of your IP address. Google also tries to do this for a given city name, but you'd be surprised for instance how many cities are named "London" around the world (such as an example).
(users in the United Kingdom please note that even though your internet addresses have a .UK domain, your international country code is GB; Google requires this distinction be made, and sites Great Britain as one of the few countries where it's important, so I thought I'd mention it).
You can download the beta at:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/11745142/Remind_Me_Where.wepm
Thanks to all the beta testers for the testing (which I know can be frustrating), and for the flow of great ideas.
For anyone who isn't sure, this is an app which runs as part of Window-Eyes; unfortunately, it does not run on Windows 8, or your mobile device, or anywhere else other than Window-Eyes (good reason to buy Window-Eyes then huh? <grin>)
The app provides various location-based functions, such as directions (including use of your transit system with its scheduling info provided), and a choice of walking or driving directions. It will show you what places are around a given location, and help you search a given location for the closest places which match your criteria.
Eventually it will keep track of reminders based on location for you, and should you go out with a laptop with a GPS, it will provide you with notice of these reminders.
It allows you to keep points of interest in your own database, and eventually I hope to have all users share their points. Google allows you to add places to its database of places, and eventually I will add the capability for you to add a place via this app. Google keeps track of "events" at each place, and I plan to provide the ability for users to add an "event" for a given place (such as a meeting).
It's beta right now, and I'm looking for ideas as to what other things it may do; and how it may do things better. Beta does mean it has bugs, and you should be prepared to send in bug reports and wait for a fix to arrive at times.
Enjoy,
Chip
