Hi. Here is the best information I can give you. Every
three months the
list owner provides an e-mail reminder, and that e-mail
contains links to
find to manage your subscription such as going no mail,
unsubscribing, etc.
If you have one of those e-mails, open it, find the link you
need to go no
mail, and go from there. You have to know your password you
used to
subscribe to this list.

Subject: buying from Amazon
I came across an app I had downloaded some years ago, and I
was impressed
again by it, and thought I should mention it here for those
who don't know
about it.
Its name is "product search" by J.J. Meddaugh. You type in
a keyword or
multiple keywords for some product you wish to buy, and the
app searches
amazon and several merchants who sell specialty products for
the visually
impaired for the keywords.
It builds a list of every product it finds which includes
telling you the
merchant; it puts a long description in an editbox which you
can tab to when
you have a product highlighted, and if you are interested,
there's a command
button which takes you to the merchants web site and right
to the page for
the product. It can make searching for something on a
complex web site such
as Amazon much simpler than usual, and if it's a specialty
product for the
visually impaired that you need, then it can save you time
searching through
various merchants web sites, each one being different from
the others.
It's a very nice app, and J.J.'s company the AT Guys had to
put some real
programming effort using their own web site, in order to
make this app work.
I figure anyone who feels overwhelmed by sites such as
Amazon might want to
give this a try.
Enjoy,
Chip
