Personally, I feel that the inability to stop incoming messages from being
read is actually kind of a bug. When incoming status messages interrupt
other things that are going on, in my opinion, it stops being a nice
feature. We have the choice already whether or not we want to have a pop-up
notification when a status message comes in, so why not take that just a bit
further and allow us to disable automatic reading of incoming messages?

Yes, we would all like this feature, but I agree with Gw's philosophy of,
"let's fix critical bugs first before adding new features". Thoughts?
