Remember though that GW Micro are at the mercy of Skype (owned by Microsoft), and their API, and if they don't support video calls, which they still don't, then GW Micro can't either.

Subject: Video chat feature

Basically I'm requesting that in the next update, or major version change to GWConect, that a feature be added. That being, the ability to make skype video calls.
I'm sure I'm not the only blind person out there who has friends and family/relatives who are sighted. With them being sighted, they like to have video chats with me, and if I'm using GWConnect, it's a major pain to have to close out of GWConnect, and load up the skype program, as well as SkypeTalking in order to use skype properly.
Also, if I had to use the main skype program, I'd have to make sure the latst JAWS scripts for Skypw were installed so I could hear what I needed to hear.

If Video chats were to be added in GWConnect, this would better facilitate that process.
Pressing control plus L should bring up a call menu, which will present the user with a combo box. In this combo box, should be the option to make a call to a computer, video, or a phone number, if one is set up in the user's profile.
As far as profiles go, more information should be provided, like time zone, phone number ability, and whatever else is able to be updated in the main skype program.
I hope these changes and others will be implemented in later versions of GWConnect.
