Hi
This has been discussed a lot lately. The short version of the story
is it's up to skype. GW connect uses the skype development kit to
connect to skype, and the version it uses hasn't been updated to accept
the use of windows live yet. GW Micro is requesting that people who use
GW connect contact skype and ask them to add this functionality to their
development kit. When they do, GW will release a new version of the
program and people can then connect to skype using their windows live ID
right in gw connect. for now, though, you'll have to use your regular
skype id.
