refurbished computersDate:
Thu, Feb 14, 2013 1:33:25 pmHi folks,
It has been several days since posting but wanted to bring up the
issue of refurbished computers.
I am hoping to acquire a laptop from a concern that provides
refurbished computers for blind persons at a suggested fee set by them
that I read of in the May/June Talking Book Topics. I suppose there
may be a waiting list from this particular source.
Anyhow their computers come with Window-Eyes.
I will primarily be using it for some light transcription and surfing
the web and my avocation as a fiction writer and entertainment via
internet radio.
I would hope the models are modern enough to accommodate a thumb drive.
If anyone has experiences with this, or other sources to recommend
that provide refurbished PCs, would you please share via reply?
Thanks and regards,
David Russell
