Why Orabis?

Reader
With the column selector (the vertical line in the middle of the screen), you can easily select a text block or a column on the screen to read. Press the start button and 2 seconds later the voice starts reading the text to you. A rectangle around the word follows the text. That way you have a clear overview and you know your exact reading position.
By having text read to you, you can reduce the magnification while having a better overview. You only need to select the text and press a button to hear the text. It's a whole new way of reading which enables you to read quicker, longer and to move your text around the screen less. No more seasick feeling you get with other magnifiers.
After pausing or sliding the text, the Orabis continues to read the correct part of the text. Volume, language and the reading speed are adjustable.
Magnifier
Besides being a reader, Orabis is a magnifier with a magnification range from 2x up to 22.6x. Just turn the knob in the center of the Orabis to change the magnification. You can also change adjust the reading mode and select from full color, negative contrast, and positive contrast. The Orabis includes a large number of positive and negative contrast color combinations for you to choose from.
Screen
The Orabis has a large 22" wide screen display.
Do you need a larger monitor? The Vocatex Plus, the high-performance read-aloud video magnifier, is available with monitor sizes of 26", 32" or even 37".
Two Mounting Options
The Orabis is available in two separate mounting options, a flat table base and a flexible desk mount clamp. The flat table base keeps the Orabis camera in a fixed postion and offers a smooth flat surface for your reading materials. The flexible desk mount clamp allows you to adjust the position and height of the Orabis camera for various tasks. You can select your mounting option at the time of purchase or request to have both mounting options for an additional charge.

Warranty
GW Micro offers a three-year warranty on the Orabis, starting from the purchase date. The warranty covers labor and materials. The warranty for the Orabis monitor must be handled directly by the manufacturer of the monitor.
