Cuckoo_Clock 3.1
by Bruce BabcockThis Cuckoo Clock app is designed to sound like the old style Cuckoo Clock on the wall at your grand parents.
It also has the ability to record your voice and save it as a .wav file. Or convert text to speech and save it as a .wav file.
You can set it to have a Big Ben chime at the Top Of The Hour, or sound every half or quarter hour using the Cuckoo clock sound.
You can set and edit all options by using the dialog menu that is called using the hotkey combo Control-Insert-E keys.
In this menu you have settings in the Clocks menu which turn on or off options such as the sleep and alarm modes, or set the chime to be once, twice, or four times an hour.
Also in the Clocks menu you can turn on or off the Rooster Wakeup or Noon Whistle sounds. Along with the option to give the time settings when using the Date-Time hotkey.
when the wakeup or alarm is triggered you can also set the voice of the time to either male or female in the Clocks menu.
There is also an edit menu to allow you to change the sleep, wakeup and alarm times. Also the sounds which are played when that alert comes. Other sounds are edited which are used at the top of the hour or during the hour.
You can choose either 12 or 24 hour format and even record your own sound files.
Recording sound files is done in the sound edit dialog box which comes up when editing any of the sound files.
The other important menu is the Announce menu that allows you to select what is announced at the Top, Half and Quarter hours. You can use chime only, chime to count the hours or use a male or female voice to tell you the time.
This version also allows you to make wav files from text. That text can be gotten from a text file you search an select or can come from just copying text to your clipboard then pressing the save text from the file or clipboard button.
You are allowed to test what the text is going to sound like before saving. so it gives you the opportunity to make changes to the voice before making the wav file.
you also have many different format choices to be able to make your wav file in, such as mono, stereo, and sample rates.
so install and enjoy the sounds.

Version 3.1
9/30/2011 9:32:54 PM
The 3.0 version of cuckoo Clock added the ability to make text to speech .wav files.
Version 3.1 was needed to correct an error in making and filling the record folder to get rid of an annoying error message when the app was first loaded.
It was not a fatal error but very annoying because of a need to answer the prompt message.
