When an EditBox, RichEdit, or Microsoft Word document has focus (e.g., Notepad, Wordpad, a dialog control, or message area in Microsoft Outlook), press F8 to mark the start of a selection. Navigate to the end point by any means, positioning the cursor just past the last character to be selected. Press Shift-F8 to complete the selection, which selects text between the start and end points. Perform an action on the selection, e.g., copy, cut, or delete. Alt-Shift-F8 returns to the start point, which can thus also serve as a temporary bookmark. Press Control-F8 to copy all text in the control to the clipboard, Control-Shift-F8 to append it, or Alt-F8 to read it -- all without moving the cursor. Control-C copies the current line if no text is selected. Other keys let you read by chunk, sentence, or paragraph through the text. Press Alt-Right Arrow or Alt-Left Arrow to read the next or prior chunk. This is defined as a sequence of characters seperated by white space -- similar to a word, but without stopping on embedded punctuation symbols. Press Alt-Down Arrow or Alt-Up Arrow to read the next or prior sentence. Press Control-Down Arrow or Control-Up Arrow to read the next or prior paragraph. This global script requires GW Toolkit.

Note: this app redefines some standard navigation keys such as control left/right arrow (which normally navigates by word). You can change this in the hotkey manager of the app.
